New West Virginia Resort Expects Celebrity Filled Opening

There will be a lot of celebrities getting their game on in a brand new casino, and it won't be in Las Vegas.

Believe it or not it will be in West Virginia, the Greenbrier Resort is planning a huge opening that would make Sin City blush.

Greenbrier owner Jim Justice said in a statement that NBA star Shaquille O'Neal and golf stars Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Lee Trevino will attend the July 2 grand opening of the Casino Club. Other celebrities expected at the event include Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck, Jessica Simpson, Brooke Shields and Jane Seymour.

The opening of the 9,475-square-metre underground casino also will feature a black-tie dinner and a concert by Lionel Ritchie.

This is not the first time new casino is opening in the East. It seems like casinos are popping up everywhere across America, as casino owners have been discovering that people would like to play blackjack without having to fly to Nevada.
