Bodog Beat: How long have you been playing on Bodog?

Dean S: Not long. A month and a half, maybe two months.

BB: You won your big jackpot playing Let Em Ride. Do you play that game often or do you mix it up?

DS: Well my father is Peruvian and in Peru when you play poker it’s just essentially Let Em Ride. So when I’ve been down there he’s showed me the game and played it at casinos so that’s become what I like to play.

BB: So tell us about the bet that earned you $300,000.

DS: I bet originally $100 on the first one and then when I saw it was a regular Flush I just kept it going and it ended up being a Royal Flush.

BB: Was that a standard bet or was it an unusual bet for you?

DS: Well I initially only put in $103. Then I did what I usually do which is bet $5 until it goes up, then I started playing $10 then $25 until I got it up to around $5,000. Then I got into betting $100 and $500.

BB: So you were on a pretty good role before you hit the Royal Flush.

DS: Yes.

BB: So when you eventually hit the jackpot what did you do?

DS: It was around 9:30 P.M. and the funny thing was that my daughter wanted to go downstairs because we were up in my office where she was watching a movie on the computer. So she wanted to go downstairs and I said, “Okay.” And I literally got up out of my chair and I already had a bet down so I just hit it and saw it was a regular flush and I hit that and then just saw the hundred thousand dollars drop down three times. Then I ran down and told my wife and she just said, “You’re full of crap.”

BB: So what are you going to do with the money?

DS: It’ll probably go to opening my wife’s boutique.

BB: What kind of boutique will it be?

DS: Over-priced women’s clothes.
