2007 Awful Movie Awards

The Awfuls, as they're affectionately called, are the most awesome awards in all of film. Like a climax of cinema, the winners are announced in early January to upstage the Oscars, scoff at the Golden Globes and heckle the Palme d'Or. Let's take a look back at the crap, shall we?

Biggest Spaz

The Awful for "Biggest Spaz" goes to Diane Keaton in Because I Said So. With reviews calling Keaton's performance "an unbelievable mess" (Entertainment Weekly), Keaton has left her Annie Hall days and entered into a world of tragically unfunny romantic comedies.

In Because I Said So, Keaton's character desperately tries to marry off her daughter, Milly, played by Mandy Moore. The problem is that Milly is too young to be considered a spinster, and Keaton's character is so annoying, as one critic complained, "I spent the bulk of the running time thinking of creative ways for the characters to be murdered."
