Adam Lambert Comes Out in Rolling Stone

Adam Lambert will be on the cover of the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone and in the interview, he talks openly about his sexuality.

“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert said.

Lambert told the rock magazine that he felt different growing up.

“I’m proud of my sexuality,” Lambert said. “I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”

However Lambert said that he's trying to keep the focus on his music, not his sexual preferences.

“I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader,” he said.

Lambert also announced he'll be releasing his debut album with 19 Recordings through a licensing deal with RCA in the fall, joining other American Idol alumnists including David Cook and Daughtry.
