Adam Lambert borrowed an arrangement of Ring of Fire that he said, would have a Middle Eastern twist to it. Us viewers at home couldn't grasp what he was talking about - but once he began singing, man, it all came together.

Now we all knew the emo dude was going to have an issue with country week. But he pulled this one off - totally owning a totally crazy version of the classic Johnny Cash tune.

The rendition of the song was weird and different and totally cool. The audience loved it, the judges swooned - but Simon Cowell called it "self-indulgent rubbish."
