American Idol Busted for Child Labor Law Violations

Ahhh... Sanjaya Malakar -- did you ever think you'd hear the name again? Perhaps you thought he'd have his own hair salon, sitcom or prostitution ring. Well, not exactly. The boy blunder, who almost tore the nation apart with his off-key crooning, is included among the catalysts for child labor disputes against "American Idol."

American Idols Live Tour '07 apparently violated child labor laws by letting underage teens perform without permits. The company has agreed to pay $5,000 in fines after being confronted with 16 violations, directly related to underage performers Jordin Sparks and Malakar.
