American Idol's Sanjaya Malakar Performs at Bar Mitzvah

After finding quasi-fame on American Idol, Sanjaya Malakar moved from his home in Seattle to L.A. to continue on his path to superstardom. However, the closest thing he's got is cashing in on celebrity goody bags that are handed out during Oscar season.

However, finally Malakar scored his first gig, entertaining at 12-year-old Rachel Lader's black-tie, 300-guest bar mitzvah at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York.

If Sanjaya plays his cards right, he could end up like Constantine Maroulis, whose latest gig was hosting Oneida Bingo in Oneida, Wisconsin.
