Amy Winehouse's Mommy Reaches Out

The mother of troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse has written a public letter to a British newspaper pleading with her daughter to come home.

The plea came after Winehouse was photographed walking the streets of London at dawn dressed in merely a bra and jeans.

The 24 year old soul singer has been battling a series of personal traumas, including drug, alcohol and boyfriend abuse. She recently cancelled all her remaining planned concerts this year, saying she could not perform while her husband was in custody.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, is being held in custody and is accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on a pub landlord in an incident in June last year.

The good news is that the Grammys don’t discriminate against junkies like Winehouse – she topped the nomination list this year.
