New Year’s Eve is still a ways off, but former party girl Lindsay Lohan has pulled the plug on ringing in the New Year at Las Vegas’ LAX nightclub at the Luxor Hotel.

Lohan apparently wants to shake her party girl image and will instead celebrate New Year’s Eve at home with her family. After all, she is focussing on her work and sobriety right now.

But don’t despair - the other party girl who wanted to focus on her work and charity has stepped up to the plate.

Yep, none other than ex-con Paris Hilton will be the new guest of honor for the New Year’s Eve bash. For a cool $1 million, the socialite will do what she does best – drink and gyrate in front of the cameras.
