Artie Lange's Suicide Attempt Described in Page 6

Artie Lange, the long-time Howard Stern sidekick, has been hospitalized after a suicide attempt.
Page Six is getting a lot of attention today, as the publication described the awful details of a suicide attempt by comedian and long-time sidekick to Howard Stern, Artie Lange.
The troubled comic apparently stabbed himself nine times in a suicide attempt. His mother, who arrived at his Hoboken, New Jersey home to deliver food, made a frantic call to 911 when she discovered her son covered in blood.
Page Six reports that law enforcement said Lange suffered sustained "six hesitation wounds and three deep plunges."
"We all have our demons," Stern said on-air after Lange was hospitalized. "Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He's a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don't forget how great he is."
Lange was one of the original cast members of MADtv. He also co-wrote a book with Anthony Bozza, titled Too Fat to Fish in 2008, and was named on the New York Times best-seller list. Artie has been on indefinite leave from the Howard Stern Show since December 12.
