Bai Ling Arrested for Shoplifting

People magazine is reporting that Bai Ling, was arrested at Los Angeles' LAX airport on Wednesday for shoplifting $16 worth of merchandise. The 37-year-old actress reportedly stole two celebrity magazines and two packs of batteries from the Crews of California gift store located in Terminal 1 at the airport.

"A private persons arrest was made by a store employee after Ling allegedly took two Star magazines along with two packs of triple A batteries totalling about $16 and left the store without paying," said Sergeant Jim Holcomb to US magazine. "LAX airport police transported Ling to Pacific Station, where she was booked for misdemeanor shoplifting and released on her promise to appear in court on March 5, 2008.

"Ms. Ling was cooperative throughout the process," Holcomb continued. "She was held for a couple of hours. There was no mugshot."
