The infamous pinup girl Bettie Page was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Page's agent, Mark Roesler said on Friday that the 85-year-old is "critically ill."

Page was one of the earliest Playboy Playmate of the Month (1955) models and has been credited for "setting the stage" for the sexual revolution of the 1960s.

Her pinup career began when Bettie met Jerry Tibbs, a police officer with an interest in photography along the Coney Island shore. He took an interest in shooting her and put together her first pinup portfolio. From there, her career took off in the erotic photography industry as her image was splashed all over men's magazines. She became known as "the girl with the perfect figure."

Page had initially been hospitalized with a serious case of pneumonia, but suffered a heart attack just before she was about to released from the hospital on Tuesday.
