Will it be "B-doggy dogg" or "M.C. Cosby"? (Courtesy Wikimedia)

Comedian, actor and philanthropist Bill Cosby will soon add "rap artist" to his long list of credentials. The former Cosby Show star is set to release a hip hop album called State of Emergency, according to All Hip Hop.

The album will reportedly be a "sanitized, issue-oriented CD," and Cosby will be rapping on issues of proper parenting, teen pregnancy, drug abuse, race and high school drop outs. All Hip Hop also reports that the album will apparently not contain any profanity or denigrating comments towards women.

The release date of the album is still unknown.
