Brittany Murphy Cause of Death Determined

TMZ is reporting that Brittany Murphy's death could have been prevented, had she gone to the hospital for treatment.  The L.A. County Coroner officials have concluded that the cause of Murphy's death was pneumonia and severe anemia and that the medications found in her system contributed to her death. Brittany's condition was "treatable" but she wasn't taken to the hospital.

TMZ goes on to say that the multiple drugs found in her system were both prescription, including medicine for cramps, and over-the-counter medications, including cough syrup.  Murphy was ill with treatable conditions but it has been  concluded that the  medications  "pushed her over the line."

Brittany's husband Simon Monjack is blaming Warner Bros. for Brittany's death and plans to sue them. Monjack  claims that the stress  Brittany suffered after Hollywood industry leaders got rid of her contract just two weeks before her death ultimately led to her demise.
