Burlington Coat Factory Riot

Mayhem ensued at a Burlington Coat Factory."]
This story makes us all a bit sad for the state of humanity. A Columbus, Ohio woman is in trouble after she caused a riot at a Burlington Coat Factory. Linda Brown pulled up to the store in a rented stretch limo, telling customers that she had just won the lottery so their purchases (up to $500) were on her. People began grabbing merchandise and calling their relatives to come down. At one point, at least 500 customers were inside the store, while 1,000 people waited outside to get in.

Brown then announced she was going to the bank to get money, but returned to the store with nothing. She then took off in her rented limo, leaving irate customers behind. They trashed the store and some even began looting.

"Everybody was like, ”˜I still want my free stuff,’ and that started the riot,” said Detective Steven Nace. “It looks like (Hurricane) Katrina went through the store.”

The limo driver turned Brown into police once he realized she didn't have any money to pay him. She has apparently pulled these sorts of odd pranks in the past, with outstanding warrants for aggravated menacing, misuse of a 911 system and causing false alarms. What a weirdo. Although she may have psychological problems, what's the excuse of the asshole customers in the store who looted and rioted? If you're looking for your own ticket to easy street, Join Bodog now!
