Cannes Film Festival Buzz: Seinfeld Promotes \"Bee Movie\"

"You know, one thing I hate is any kind of movie promotion that smacks of desperation in any way," Jerry Seinfeld said, before jumping from the roof of a hotel, arms and legs flailing, and heading down to the beach on a cord.

Seinfeld's "Bee Movie" is the latest DreamWorks Animation film to dramatize insect life (following "Antz"). Although the film doesn't open until November, Seinfeld was in Cannes on May 17 showing 30 minutes of highlights. He spent the past four years developing the film, writing the script and giving voice to its leading role.

Chris Rock, who voiced a mosquito in the movie, said "Bee Movie" was different from most other DreamWorks creations because the humor is all Seinfeld's.

Meanwhile, “My Blueberry Nights” opened with a bang at Cannes. Jude Law arrived on the red carpet with co-star, singer-turned-actress Norah Jones, who made her acting debut playing a waitress who travels across the US and ends up meeting Law, who plays a cafe owner. The pair share a on-screen kiss that sent the Cannes buzz on overdrive.
