Chandra Levy Case Solved?

There may finally be a break in the almost decade-old Chandra Levy case. Levy was a federal intern who vanished and was found murdered a year later. During the investigation, it had come out the Levy was romantically linked to married California Rep. Gary Condit. Condit admitted to investigators that he'd had an affair with Levy, but he denied any involvement in or knowledge of Levy's death. Although Condit was never named a suspect, the media frenzy surrounding the case pretty much ended his political career.

Police are close to pressing charges against an incarcerated man at a California prison who had confessed to the murder to a fellow inmate.

Authorities submitted evidence to the U.S. Attorney's Office to obtain an arrest warrant for Ingmar Guandique. Guandique is in jail for assaulting two women in Washington's Rock Creek Park, the same place where Levy's body was found. When questioned, Guandique told police that he saw Levy several times in the park but played no part in her death.
