Chikezie Latest 'American Idol' Casualty

Chikezie Eze got a taste of stardom and reached out to his fans during Tuesday night's performance of "If Only for One Night." A move, that could have been the reason for his elimination from the show last night, as Simon Cowell had chastised him for being "cheesy." Chikezie Eza cheesy?

Chikezie, who once waved people with wands as a security guy at Los Angeles International Airport, was joined in the bottom three by Syesha Mercado and Jason Castro. Yes, the insufferable Kristy Lee Cook wasn't in the bottom three. Go figure.

Also, after The Beat raved about David Cook's arrangement of Billie Jean, one of our one of our message board philosophers pointed out that he stole the arrangement from the latest Chris Cornell (Soundgarden and Audioslave) solo album. Ripping arrangements is something Cook has done before.

Only nine Idol's remain: Carly Smithson, David Archuleta, Brooke White, David Cook, Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook, Michael Johns, Ramiele Malubay and Syesha Mercado. What will they sing next week?
