Dancing with the Stars Down to the Last Dance

Is it just us or does “Dancing with the Stars” remind you of a DVD of your cousin’s wedding reception?
You’ve got the hot chick (Julianne Hough) who goes wild after she’s got a few drinks in her from the open bar. The greasy dude (Helio Castroneves) looking to score. The old aunt (Marie Osmond) desperate to feel hot so she monopolizes the most willing young man at the party (Jonathan Roberts). And there’s the wedding crasher (Melanie Brown) and the about-to-be-fired waiter (Maksim Chermkovskiy) shocking the grandparents.
Plus, you’ve got the requisite music. On Monday’s final performance episode of season five, we endured listening to wedding-receptions staples “The Twist”, “Car Wash” and “Land of 1,000 Dances”.
Maybe things will improve Tuesday night, when the winners are announced. Oh, wait, Celine Dion’s going to appear. Nevermind.
Brown and Chermkovskiy held a slight edge over Castroneves and Hough after the judges voted on Monday. That doesn’t mean anything, though, because Osmond is obviously the fan favorite. The winner will be announced during the two-hour finale on ABC Tuesday night. Here are Dancing with the Stars odds for the remaining celebrity contestants:
Melanie Brown - 7/5
Helio Castroneves - 5/6
Marie Osmond - 9/5
