Although Ryan Seacrest gave us fair warning that the kids were out of their comfort zones tonight, we quickly found out that Andrew Lloyd Webber night was rough for the American Idol wannabes... and for us. No one was out of their element more than rocker David Cook (13/10), who gave us a lackadaisical version of "Music of the Night" from Webber's Phantom of the Opera. He reminded viewers that he has a strong voice, but his cool factor had left the building. For his part, Jason Castro (15/1) seriouly missed the mark on song choice and delivered a very weird version of the Cats hit, "Memory." His voice just didn't have the power to carry through the song. In the pre-interview Webber warned us that Castro's performance might be weird. He was spot on.

Carly Smithson (50/1) wailed and screeched through a power-packed "Jesus Christ Superstar" while Brooke White (30/1) flubbed the opening of Evita's "You Must Love Me."

Top performers included Syesha Mercado (40/1) who sang "One Rock and Roll Too Many" and hit the mark with a confident and sexy performance. Bodog's front-runner David Archuleta (8/11) took a risk with "Think of Me" from Phantom and put a catchy pop spin on it. Paula Abdul praised him for turning the song into a pop ballad.

So what did you think of Andrew Lloyd Webber night? Who are you going to vote for? More importantly, who are you going to put money on?
