David Archuleta's Dad 'American Idol' Pass Revoked

The latest person to be evicted from American Idol is not one of the contestants, but actually, one of the contestant's fathers.

David Archuleta has had problems with his father, Jeff Archuleta, who according to the show's producers is a bothersome "stage dad."

The Associated Press reports that Jeff, who has been hands-on during every aspect of his son's stint on American Idol, is no longer allowed to participate in the behind the scenes activities and rehearsals. The final straw for the show's producers was when despite being warned, Jeff Archuleta insisted on altering "Stand by Me," one of two songs his son sang on the show Tuesday. By adding a verse from Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls," the show incurred additional costs as they did not have the rights to the Kingston song.
