David Letterman's "The Late Show with David Letterman" will be returning to TV on Jan. 2. US Magazine is reporting that the talk show host has reached a deal with the union representing the writers' strike, and his show will be returning with a full staff.
"I am grateful to the WGA for granting us this agreement," Letterman said. "We're happy to be going back to work, and particularly pleased to be doing it with our writers.
"This is not a solution to the strike, which unfortunately continues to disrupt the lives of thousands. But I hope it will be seen as a step in the right direction."
Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel will also be returning on Jan. 2, but without writers.
