In September, a Carnegie Mellon computer science professor named Dr. Randy Pausch, gave a lecture on his life that became one of the most viewed videos on the Internet. A father of three and only 46-years-old, Pausch was given a death sentence of a few months when he was diagnosed pancreatic cancer.
When Oprah asked Pausch whether he's had any regrets, he said:
"I was always a pretty honest person but it took me a long time to learn to balance it with tact. I'd like to live longer so that I could become good at that... I'm also joining a gym tomorrow."
When asked if he had any hope, Pausch said: "I'm still hopeful. I'm not opposed to miracles."
"I'm not keen on the process. This is not the cancer you want," Pausch said when Oprah asked whether he feared death.
"I've learned how good people are," Pausch said. "People are incredibly good and boy do they rise to the occasion."
