Elliott Yamin Tweets in Chile 8.8 Earthquake

American Idol's Elliot Yamin is tweeting after he felt the powerful force of the earthquake in Chile this morning."]
Elliott Yamin, who was booted off American Idol back in the day,  is suddenly getting a lot of press after he tweeted about the massive 8.8 magnitute earthquake that struck Chile this morning.

Yamin was in Chile for  Viña del Mar International Song Festival, which apparently didn't go well for Yamin, who tweeted, "Thanks 4 nothing Chile!...what an aweful experience!"

Just an hour later, however, a huge earthquake struck and Yamin took to his twitter again.

Yamin tweeted, "Huge earthquake just now in Chile!!....I swear I thought this was the end of my life!!!!!"

Later he wrote, "So...1 min, I'm trashin this competition on twitter, the next,I'm runnin 4 my life 2 safety!...what a contrast!...I hope & pray yall are ok!"

Yamin, who suffers from diabetes,  was only expecting to stay in Chile for a short duration and didn't pack enough insulin to last him for a longer stay.

President-elect Sebastian Pinera  has said  that more than 120 people have  died in the quake, but that number is quickly climbing. Meanwhile,  the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center warns that a tsunami could strike anywhere in the Pacific and emergency officials set off alarm sirens across parts of Hawaii, which will see huge wavs starting at 11:19 a.m.
