EMI Blocks Sharing OK Go’s \"This Too Shall Pass\" Video

If you want to embed this OK Go video, good luck."]

The  video for OK Go's "This Too Shall Pass" off of the New Album "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky" has gone viral, well, almost. The video, which  was filmed live with a single  shot  and features the Notre Dame marching band and has already gained traction with over 500,000 views,  has been the source of contention between the Los Angeles band and thier label, EMI Group which owns Capitol Records, after EMI proclaimed that the group’s videos  are no longer be embeddable on YouTube.

“We’re stuck between two worlds,” vocalist and guitarist Damian Kulash wrote Sunday on the band’s official site.

The move by the record giant is confusing to the band, who first broke onto the music scene via “A Million Ways,”  a music video that had gone viral.

The band  said, Unfortunately, as of now you can’t embed diddlycrap. And depending on where you are in the world, you might not even be able to watch it. We’ve been flooded with complaints recently because our YouTube videos can't be embedded on websites, and in certain countries can't be seen at all. And we want you to know: we hear you, and we’re sorry. We wish there was something we could do. Believe us, we want you to pass our videos around more than you do, but, crazy as it may seem, it’s now far harder for bands to make videos accessible online than it was four years ago.”
