Football & War Hero Pat Tillman Lives On

"Pat's Run" raises money for leadership programs

Friends and family of ex-NFL player Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004 in a friendly-fire incident, have organized "Pat's Run" taking place this Sunday, April 30th in San Jose, CA, to raise money for Tillman's Leadership through Action program.

Inspired by Pat's passion, the Leadership Through Action program enhances young people's leadership skills, helps them use their skills to develop solutions to today's problems, and ultimately funds those projects that have merit.

Anyway. Just thought we'd honor a dude who did the remarkable, he left a career in pro football to join the Army Rangers.

Two summers ago, Bodog hosted a special "Bodog Salutes the Troops" fundraiser in Hawaii, honoring the troops stationed there. Money raised went to the Fisher House Foundation.
