George Anthony Hospitalized for Possible Suicide Attempt

Since then, the 22-year-old mother has been charged with the murder of her two-year-old toddler daughter, Caylee Anthony.

In an even sadder turn of events for the family, George Anthony was found this morning in a Daytona Beach motel after his family reported him missing late Thursday. He was found alive with a what appeared to be a suicide note and family members claimed he'd been texting them hinting he wanted to end his life.

In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel this morning, the police chief Mike Chitwood who was involved in finding Anthony via cell phone pings, said that he was dressed nicely when he answered the door of the motel room.

" basically said to us, you know, I just need to get away. I need to think things through. That's why he was there," Chitwood said. "He just wanted to be alone."

Chitwood convinced Anthony to go to the hospital. On the way to the hospital, Chitwood said, Anthony remarked, "You don't understand, do you? You just don't understand what this is like."

George Anthony is currently at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona under observation.
