Harry Potter Theme Park to Be Advertised During Super Bowl

Want to wander through the village of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts castle? Soon you'll be able to when  a 20-acre Harry Potter theme park  opens at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida.

"Over the years we've received thousands of letters from fans around the world wishing they could visit Hogwarts and the wonderful locations described in each of J.K. Rowling's beloved stories," says Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Barry Meyer. "Working with Universal Orlando Resort, we are confident that we'll be able to provide Harry Potter fans with an incredible experience that upholds the richness of J.K. Rowling's books and delivers on the authentic detail portrayed in our films."

Authentic portrayal of Harry Potter? Hopefully this won't mean visitors will be mauled by trolls or molested by dragons. Was Harry ever  molested by a dragon you ask? Who can keep up with these things? It's probably a safe bet though.

While the exact opening date hasn't been announced  yet, the park must be getting close to ready as the first advertisement for the Harry Potter theme park will run this weekend during the Super Bowl.

The entire park will of course be Potter themed with everything from chocolate frogs and every-flavor-beans available at Honeydukes' sweet shop to rides named and designed after mosters and events from the Harry Potter stories.
