Janet Jackson was hospitalized in Canada on Monday night at Montreal's Bell Centre. She was forced to cancel her show just minutes before it was supposed to start.

The 42-year-old singer, "got suddenly ill during the sound check" in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, according to her PR rep.

Jackson is being monitored at the hospital and is wanting to reschedule the show. Jackson reportedly has a show in Boston tomorrow at the TD Banknorth Garden. No word on whether Jackson's "Rock Witchu" tour will continue to the Garden or if she needs more time to recover.
