Janet Jackson Splits from Jermaine Dupri

After losing her brother Micheal, Janet Jackson and her music-exec boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, have ended their seven-year relationship. The rumor mill began to churn when Dupri was a no-show from Michael's funeral earlier this month.

"His friends are telling people it's over," says a source. "They have been moving in different directions for a while."

Friends close to the couple say they were never compatible in the first place.

"Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet's more shy," a mutual friend told the media.

And now it seems, Janet may be busy becoming a parent to Micheal's three orphaned children. OK! reports that it appears Prince, Paris and Blanket want to live with Janet rather than Micheal's mother.

“All three want Janet to read to them at night,” a Jackson family friend says. “They just melt into her arms when she walks into the house. Janet has completely bonded with those children in the last two weeks."
