Jessica Simpson and John Mayer Go Public

Now that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have finalized their divorce, boyfriend  John Mayer and herself have went public with their new found romance. The couple rang in the new year together at a party thrown by Christina Aguilera at the Hudson Hotel.   One source claims "John has been thrilled that they have been tricking the media, but she doesn't really care. His Christmas present to her was a framed copy of the Us Weekly cover that says Dumped: John ditches Jessica."

Daddy Simpson (Joe Simpson) is not impressed with the fact that Jessica passed on the well paid opportunity to host the New Year's Eve bash at Pure; instead hosted by Britney Spears. Jessica wanted to ring in the new year with Mayer instead and take the holiday off. Daddy was probably not happy on the money she passed up because of the bill he is now stuck with after she pulled out of the Dolly Parton tribute at The Kennedy Center. Joe has to pay $15,000 in stylist fees! That's just ridiculous! Reportedly the day rate of hairstylist Ken Paves is $6,000, makeup artist Mary Phillips $4,000 and fashion stylist Jessica Pastor around $4,000 or $5,000. Wow!
