In Touch Weekly is reporting that Jessica Simpson has been hospitalized for a kidney infection, but that she is expected to be released Tuesday morning.

Simpson checked in to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday.

In insider told the gossip mag:

“She checked in on Friday morning because she was feeling achy and had a fever,” a friend of the family said. “She is doing fine, but she is ready to get out of there."
