Joan Rivers 'Held Hostage' in Costa Rica

Nobody is immune to airport security. Joan Rivers got first-hand experience with the new, tighter security regulations as security denied her a flight from Costa Rica to Newark, New Jersey. Rivers was stopped at security after an official was suspicious of her previous married name, Rosenberg. Thus, her seat on the airplane was given away and Joan was forced to stay another night in Costa Rica.
Word on the street is that Rivers was fuming and spread the word that she was "held hostage" in Costa Rica. Such a stink was made that police were called to the scene, however, Rivers had missed her flight by the time the confusion was sorted out.
Rivers was notoriously ruthless on Celebrity Apprentice, where she called poker player Annie Duke, "Hitler."
