Jon Gosselin Countersues TLC

Jon Gosselin is under the impression that TLC is making him look bad. Gosselin, who is being sued by TLC for breach of contract, is laughably suing back for defamation of character. Hey, TLC didn't force you to wear douchy shirts, hang out with Grade A douche Michael Lohan and get an even douchier girlfriend, Jon.

TMZ is claiming that Jon is countersuing the network because he says they owe him $175K for unpaid work as well as, oh, let's say - $5 million in damages for "harm" he has suffered to his "reputation."

Jon filed legal documents that explained his need for the $5 million: "Because of the enormous Media interest - and public interest it makes it impossible to carry on normal daily activities, let alone find, secure and maintain a job with an employer who is willing to be exposed to the daily Media intrusions that has impeded my life."

Jon had halted production of Jon and Kate Plus Eight after he found out he had been written out of the show. TLC had said at the time, "Despite Jon Gosselin's repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents."

Although Jon was under contract with TLC, he was making deals with Ed Hardy and shopping around his own reality TV show, Divorced Dad's Club. He was apparently paid for appearances and interviews with other networks even though his contract with TLC was "exclusive."
