Jon Gosselin vs. TLC: It's War

Jon Gosselin always seemed like a shell of a man when he'd appear alongside his wife Kate Gosselin on the interview couch during the TLC show, Jon and Kate Plus Eight. Now, Jon seems to be finding his voice and he is either a big old douchebag or a broken guy who is slowly putting himself back together - it's tough to tell. Jon always seemed like a guy who had woken up one day and found himself the father of eight kids and married to a woman he could barely tolerate - so it seemed inevitable that he would crack.

After Jon was fired from Jon and Kate Plus Eight yesterday, today, Jon Gosselin demanded that production on the show - now called Kate Plus Eight - be halted. Jon put signs up around his property prohibiting TLC's cameras and crew.

Jon's attorney writes, "Effective immediately, no production crews are to enter Jon's family home for any reason. In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers.' "

This isn't exactly a petty move on Jon's part due to his firing, as TMZ reports that Gosselin has been asking to be released from the show for months. TMZ says that TLC was willing to give Jon a paycheck and not put him on the show, but with the condition that he couldn't do any other show without the permission of TLC. However, Jon has been hoping to get his own show with Michael Lohan, Divorced Dad's Club.

After the notices went up on the property, production did indeed stop on the show and TLC released the following statement to People: "We are aware of Jon Gosselin's recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic. Despite Jon Gosselin's repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents."

Sources say that Jon has not wanted his kids in front of the camera anymore as they have began to complain themselves. Jon was reportedly completely caught off-guard when TLC booted him in favor of the new show, Kate Plus Eight, that the result in more camera time for the kids.

Kate just released the statement: "It appears that Jon's priority is Jon and his interests. I'm saddened and confused by Jon's public media statements. Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children."
