Joy Behar Apologizes to Rachel Uchitel for Hooker Joke

One of Tiger Woods' many mistresses, Rachel Uchitel, doesn't like to be called out. So when Joy Behar called Uchitel a hooker on The View, Uchitel utilized her pitbull lawyer, Gloria Allred, to squeeze an apology out of Behar. Allred called Behar's comment "highly offensive" and demanded and an apology - which The View provided via press release.

"Even if the host said it in a joking way Rachel is not amused, because she values her reputation and her reputation has been damaged by this statement as it is completely false," Allred said. (Umm, no Gloria. Her reputation was damaged because she whored around.)

The press release  wasn't good enough, however, and a reluctant Behar took to the airways today to issue the apology on the show.

Behar said: "During a discussion on Thursday's show about the alleged affair between Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel, I made a joke, I made a play on Ms. Uchitel's name; this was intended, only as a joke and, I apologize for the choice of words, and for any the joke may have created."

For the record, Behar had made a play on Uchitel's name by saying, "You-can-tell she's a hooker."
