Kanye West and Fiancee Break Up

Rapper Kanye West is back on the market. According to People magazine, West and his finacee of one and a half years, Alexis Phifer, have decided to call it quits.

"It's always sad when things like this end, nd we remain friends," Phifer told People magazine. "I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met."

According to US magazine, rumors of a split had already began late last week and was confirmed on Monday. "Kanye is possessed by the tour and everything going on and just couldn't keep it going," a source close to the couple told US. "They are still friends and have broken up and gotten back together before, so it could work out."

West reportedly proposed to Phifer while on a 2006 vacation in Italy.
