One happy shopper came home from a London auction a lock of hair richer and $48,000 poorer. The hair was cut by John Lennon's former hairdresser and was sold to an unnamed telephone bidder.
In other Beatles news, Sir Paul McCartney was Cheech and Chonging it up at the Led Zeppelin concert in London earlier this week, the Mirror reports.
Although officials at the event knew what he was up to, nobody hassled McCartney because he’s Paul bloody McCartney.
One worker at the concert venue promised: “Don’t worry, you’re a legend.”
