Lukas Rossi: Supernova's New Lead Singer

Another Canadian wins "Rock Star"? WTF??

Lukas Rossi, the 29-year-old Toronto native is the new frontman for Supernova. The cocky Canadian beat out the lone female candidate - Dilana Robichaux, of South Africa, and left Aussie Toby Rand and Iceman Magni to eat his dust.

All eyes and ears were glued to this grand finale, but I love the way the L.A. Times put it best: "In the end, goth as much as rock won out in the finale of 'Rock Star: Supernova,' as Lukas Rossi ? the androgynous, spiky-haired Canadian wailer who favors charcoaled eyes, black nail polish and fingerless fishnet gloves ? beat all comers." (Canadian J.D. Fortune won last year's "Rock Star" show and now sings with Australia's INXS.)

What happened to Magni?? And what about crowd fave Toby?? How did Lukas score such big points over those two studs??

Supernova drummer Tommy Lee said that Rossi had received the highest number of votes following Tuesday night's performance episode. That prompted the band to "listen to our fans." The band's debut album is tentatively set for fall on Epic Records.

PS. How Lukas managed to get more votes than Magni is beyond me. Please. Someone tell me. What am I missing here?? The dude has bad hair, he's short, there's little or no sex appeal, he has no fashion sense, he's a cliche... AND... AND... he smokes way too much.
