In sad news, a second life was claimed today from Madonna's stage collapsing. At a concert, Madonna paid tribute to the two lives that were lost. She cried, calling the loss "tragic" and said she was "devastated to be in any way associated with anyone suffering."

The collapse occurred at the Velodrome Stadium in Marseille, France where Madonna was going to perform on July 19. A crane collapsed and fell on top of workers during the installation of the stage for her Sunday concert killing one worker and leaving six injured. The Marseille show has since been canceled.

After being hospitalized, the second worker, identified as a 32-year-old British man died from his injuries. A French worker had died immediately the day before. Nine others, including one American, were injured and sent to local hospitals.

Madonna is reportedly "devastated" by the tragedy. On stage, Madonna told fans to take "a moment to stop and to stop and think of the people who have lost their lives. We need to appreciate life, the people we love and our families."
