Madonna's Directorial Debut

Madonna has never had raving success on the big screen, and yet, she just won't quit. This time, the mother of three is trying her hand as a director.

Madonna's directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, which she also co-wrote, opened at the Berlin Film Festival to mixed but mostly horrible reveiws, according to People magazine. However, that isn't stopping the queen of pop, who turns 50 this summer, from planning her dreams. "I will be making more music and films," the singer said at a press conference.

The film reportedly tells the tale of a Ukrainian immigrant musician and two female roomates. And while the film was said to be "oddly appealing" at best by the Hollywood Reporter, U.K. newspaper The Guardian didn't hold back at all, calling the film "so incredibly bad that Berlin festivalgoers were staggering around yesterday in a state of clinical shock, deathly pale and mewing like maltreated kittens."
