Michael Phelps Bong Hit Leads to Eight Arrests

This story is like a domino effect of stupidly. Firstly, your Bodog Beat editors want to address those who commented in our forums about "giving Phelps a break" and that "smoking weed is not a big deal." Well, we couldn't agree more. However, we're not judging Phelps for smoking a little grass - we're judging his high level of stupidity. The bottom line is right now Micheal Phelps has one job: Maintaining his image as America's Golden Boy - a job that pays him millions in endorsement deals. As America's hero, for Phelps to go to a party where he doesn't know anyone and smoke from a bong while people are taking pictures - well, that's just profoundly dumb.

And it seems like everyone involved in this fiasco has similar IQs. For example, the kid who owns the bong then tried to sell it for $100K on Ebay. And now, the Richland County Sheriff's Department in Columbia, South Carolina (where the party took place), has arrested eight of the party-goers including the owner of the bong. The offender who got off was none other than America's Golden Boy, Michael Phelps.

When Governor Mark Sanford was asked whether Phelps should be prosecuted, he said, "I don't see what it gets at this point."
