Mischa Barton 5150 Hold Because of Toothache

It happens to the best of us. We get a toothache, then get hauled away and placed on 5150 hold. Just hours before she was scheduled to fly to New York for the premiere of her movie, Homecoming, Mischa Barton was hauled off by police and placed under involuntary psychiatric care. Now Barton is claiming that the whole "danger to herself and others" thing was because she had a really bad toothache due to her recent wisdom tooth extraction. Seriously.

Barton told People magazine, "It was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once. The show, travel and then this fairly routine surgery that went wrong—it’s still just healing. But I had to get through it without proper painkillers because I couldn’t take those during work. So it’s been a nightmare.”

Barton was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was placed under 5150 hold - meaning authorities think Barton presents a danger to herself or others. Barton claims that she did not have a nervous breakdown over a widsom tooth procedure. Things were "pretty bad," but she claims the media reports were exaggerated.
