Mischa Barton Spared from Jail Time for DUI Arrest

People magazine reports that The O.C. actress Mischa Barton will be spared from any jail time for her DUI arrest in Los Angeles on Dec. 27, 2007. Instead, Barton will accept a plead no contest to the DUI and serve a three-year unsupervised probation term.

According to the magazine, Barton will also pay a fine of $1,700 and take a three-month alcohol education class. As for marijuana posession, those charges will be dropped thanks to the small amount found on the actress, and an additional charge of driving without a license will be reduced to an infraction.

Barton told Ryan Seacrest on a recent stint on his radio show, "Obviously I'm 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case. I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it, except that I'm not perfect, and I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again."
