National Treasure: Book of Secrets Tops Box Office Again

For the third straight weekend, Nicolas Cage and National Treasure: Book of Secrets was the number one movie at the box office.

The Disney adventure brought in $20.2 million this weekend, for a three week total of $171 million. The family friendly flick is just days away from surpassing the $173 million total of 2004's National Treasure to become the biggest film of Cage's career.

Will Smith’s sci-fi smash, I Am Legend earned $16.4 million to hold down second spot; the film has grossed $228.7 million since its debut four weeks ago.

Teen pregnancy sleeper hit Juno took third spot at the box office, earning $16.2 million in its first weekend of wide release.

Family tale Alvin and the Chipmunks was fourth with $16 millionand horror flick One Missed Call debuted in fifth with $13.5 million, drawing in the horror movie crowd despite disdain by the critics.

Rounding out the top ten were Charlie Wilson’s War in sixth with $8.2 million, P.S. I Love You in seventh with $8 million, The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep in eighth with $6.3 million, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in ninth with $5.4 million and Golden Globe leading Atonement in tenth with $5.1 million.
