NHL Odds at Bodog: Where it Helps if You Know How to Read

Jacques Demers coached the Montreal Canadiens to the Stanley Cup in 1993 and spent a total of 15 years in the NHL in the role of head coach and general manager for five different NHL teams...without knowing how to read or write.
Jacques Demers is still looking for his name on the Stanley Cup
His biography Jacques Demers En Toutes Lettres (which means 'Jacques Demers From A To Z' in French) was released Wednesday. Quick to assume that Demers didn't actually write this book, the Beat has learned that Journal de Montreal desk editor and former Canadiens beat writer Mario Leclerc did the work for him. At the release party for his new book, Demers said:
"I could read a little bit but I can't write very well. I took to protecting myself. You put a wall around yourself. And when I was given the possibility of talking, I could speak well and I think that really saved me."
Who has time to read, anyway?
