Bad girl gone good Nicole Richie and her baby-daddy Joel Madden have started their Christmas giving early. Richie and Madden hosted a holiday party on Saturday for children and families from homeless programs in Los Angeles as part of their Richie-Madden Children's Foundation launched earlier this month.
Over 200 children filled the Paramount Studios lot featuring teddy bears, cookies, cupcakes, face painting, clowns, holiday music and Santa Claus. Each kid was also reportedly allowed to choose a bear from a mountain of 500 "Cuddle Cub" stuffed bears.
"It was a no-brainer for us to pull this party together for them for the holidays," Richie told US Magazine. "We want to do much more to address the homeless issue, especially where it puts children at risk. But for now, we can at least try to help them have a merry Christmas by giving them teddy bears and getting them fitted for shoes. That's something we can do right now, today."
Richie and Madden threw a baby shower for 100 expectant mothers in need earlier this month. They are expecting their first child together in January.
