Well, not really a sparrow, but that's what she named her poor kid. And it gets worse. It's middle name is Midnight. We kid you not. Yes, the baby is named Sparrow James Midnight Madden.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Twittered the news about their newborn son.

"What a great day to come back on Twitter," Richie said. "Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I love my family!!"

Madden wrote, "1st day of his life & my son is already a trending topic on twitter," he Twitters. "That's right son, ur just like your old man."

Sparrow was born in the middle of the night on September 9, weighing 7lbs 14oz. Richie gave birth to their daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden last January 11.
