'No Country for Old Men' Wins Big at Critics' Choice Awards

Unlike the canceled Golden Globes, the Crictics' Choice Awards went off without a hitch on Monday night as the production companies behind the awards show, and VH1 who broadcasts them, are not contracted with theWGA.

The big winner of the night was the dark thriller based on the Cormac McCarthy novel, No Country for Old Men -- which swept best picture, best director for Joel and Ethan Coen, and best supporting actor for Javier Bardem.

Julie Christie won best actress for the Sarah Polley directed film, Away from Her, while Daniel Day-Lewis took the best actor honor for There Will Be Blood.
