Oddsmakers List McCain as Presidential Longshot

She put up a bitter fight for the Democratic bid, but the fat lady has officially sung for Senator Hillary Clinton, who plans to concede on Friday.

Clinton told House Democrats during a conference call Wednesday that she will express support for Barack Obama's candidacy and congratulate him for becoming the party's nominee.

"Senator Clinton will be hosting an event in Washington on Friday to thank her supporters and express her support for Senator Obama and party unity," Clinton’s communications director Howard Wolfson said.

With Clinton officially out of the running for President, Bodog’s oddsmakers have set the presidential betting lines with Obama the clear favorite to win -260 and John McCain listed as the longshot with +175 odds.

Clinton, however was not overlooked by oddsmakers. With the Vice Presidential nominee odds up, Clinton is a clear favorite to win with 7/4 odds. Other Democratic VP candidates include Al Gore (22/1), Jim Webb (9/4), John Edwards (6/1) and Michael Bloomberg (30/1).

Conservative nominees include Bobby Jindal (7/1), Jeb Bush (35/1), Ron Paul (35/1), Lindsay Graham (8/1) and again, Michael Bloomberg (25/1).   Bet on the   Presidential election in the Bodog Sportsbook today.
